True blackout shade, easy installation, quality product.
Excellent communication with the shade company and the size I picked. These are all custom made and can’t be returned so thanks for them to double check my size I ordered. I accidentally a wrong size and they corrected my mistake, thanks fits perfectly and is well made.I got white and 42 wide X 43 long.Keeps the heat out and the AC doesn’t run that often. This will last a long time.PS, add a small wood block on one end to help hold the one end up when you fasten the other side. Easy !

Quick installation. Open and close easily.
We purchased four skylights in May 2022. We live in the Pacific Northwest where summers over the past few years have been averaging 95 degrees and higher. The skylights in our kitchen and master bathroom made the rooms unbearably hot beginning in late spring until early fall. With these blinds, these areas are now cool and comfortable. My husband measured the skylights and sent the exact measurements as instructed. The blind company then reduced by 1/4 inch. Other reviews have recommended taking a 1/4 off and sending those measurements. Ours fit perfectly so I cannot recommend which way to go.PROS: It took my husband 45 minutes to install the first one, just because he accidently installed it backwards with the opening for sliding the blind open/close facing up, but it was an easy fix to flip around. Double-check the direction before installing. The other three were installed in less than 25 minutes each. It only took 3.5 weeks to arrive from the date we ordered (mid-May 2022). The blinds are easy to open, close, and keep our home cool on hot summer days. They had the screw holes pre-drilled. I saw a past review that said theirs did not, so hopefully this is a modification the company has made. We have had ours installed about 2.5 months and have been happy with them. We would purchase again and would recommend to others.CONS: Price, but well worth the investment. The rod to open and close the blind is not customized for these blinds. The tip of the rod does not fit snuggly in the opening, so be careful to put appropriate pressure to allow the blind to slide, but not so loose, that the rod could come out of the opening and rip the blind.

Good product for the money, "easy enough" install
I hardly ever write reviews but wanted to chime in here because I was (as I often am) confused to read so many positive and also a bunch of negative reviews. It's possible that they've changed the product in response to negative reviews or maybe a few people got defective versions or something. My experience was as follows:--I measured CAREFULLY and didn't adjust the measurements at all.--Product arrived fairly quickly, well before the latest date listed when I ordered.--Product did include basic instructions and did have pre-drilled holes in the frame (despite some reviews to the contrary on both issues)--I assembled on the floor as instructed. Take care to note which way will face the room if you have different colors on both sides. The part of the slider that has a gap/handle will be the side that faces the room.--The shade fit almost perfectly in our skylight. There is maybe one 1/8" gap on one out of the four sides but I think if it was any bigger it might have been too tight to install.--The hardest part of the install had nothing to do with the product itself, it's just awkward to screw in the screws with one person while also trying to hold the frame in place. I balanced on my head and then gently hammered in a small finishing nail a few millimeters to hold the frame in place while I screwed the frame to the skylight. Then took the nail out at the end. But, a second person and second ladder would have made the job easier if you can swing it.--The blind slides really well and blocks out light effectively. Despite at least one negative review, the 6' pole is plenty strong enough to slide the blind back and forth.--Overall really happy with the product...ended up really not costing much for a custom product and install not too bad at all. (I'm no super handyman guy either...medium level competent at best.)
