This is a really great burner, the charcoal burns completely, the base stays cool to the touch, it doesn't fall over like my old one, the top gets warm but you can open it with a mitt and add more incense if necessary.
I’m not trying to be insensitive, but this little thing was really neat looking. It added to our Christmas memories as we taught our kids different traditions from different beliefs. They were a little confused when I told them it resembled the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch. That lesson will have to come some other time I suppose. It did not get discolored when used with the charcoal discs and incense. It does get warm with that much heat, as the metal is very thin, so don’t leave it unattended. But it’s a nice little incense burner.
