Pretty hanging basket of flowers anytime of the year!

The ZeeDix Outdoor Artificial Flowers with Hanging Baskets was a nice project to put together. The weather has been subzero here with endless snow making this a great time for me to purchase this hanging basket of flowers with all the bright colors. The basket is a nice size with the same coconut liner I use for planting my hanging baskets in the spring. This is not a thin liner, it is a heavy duty liner that will hold up for a long time. The metal basket and chain is also a heavier metal that seems like it will hold up well outside. The liner and metal basket gives this a little weight although I think it might need a bit more for high winds we get in the summer as adding the flowers, foam and greenery to the basket don't add much weight. I will add some gravel or stone in the center to help with that.I spent my afternoon unwrapping, laying out and putting this basket of colorful flowers together. You can just stick the flower stems in, spread them a bit and be done, it will look nice or you can take more time and bend the stems around more. The stems of the flowers bent easily and I only managed to pop a couple of flowers off the stems that easily went back on. Bending the stems let me mix the colors together giving them the look of growing and spreading through each other. If you want to mix the flowers even more you can even swap some of them by gently pull them off and trading colors around pushing on different color flowers from another place. Just make sure to know where you took them off by doing this no more than two at a time or may end up with not knowing where the flowers stem to put it back on is.The colors look nice with the basket being a good size to match what you would get a greenhouse when buying a basket of flowers. I found the printing of the details on the flowers petals a bit too dark to be realistic. Also the blue flower just does not look like a natural blue you would see on a flower, at least in the area I am in. From a distance these are nice but within about 3ft you know they are artificial. For now mine will be hanging in a sunny front window waiting for the snow to melt then they to go outside when I hang my other flower baskets.

A hanging explosion of colorful, care-free, and realistic flowers

(The photos in my kitchen don't quite do the gorgeous basket justice, but it remains COLD outside! LOL Still, looking ahead to spring...)Okay, I know many are as wary of artificial flowers as I am--especially outdoors (and with my disapproving green-thumb neighbors), but these are worth a reconsider. I have decided to mix some really realistic flowers with my live plants this year to try to cut down on the time I spend caring for them after a very long day at work. And for a hanging pot, that is especially important. But, the goal is likewise to be able to fool those who walk by or even stop in for a front porch visit. I think this big bountiful pot of multi-colored "petunia"-looking flowers fills the bill.Assembly of the grass ball into the coconut liner is simple--then the fun part of arranging each of the colored branches of flowers to create a totally intermixed colorful pot, or individual colorful sections. Whichever you like! Hanging in a corner of your patio or porch (or kitchen), this really draws the eye and best of all these flowers are weather and sun (UV)-resistant, suggesting durability to ensure years of use. Plus, no getting up on a stepstool to water these gorgeous blooms or taking time to "dead head" to remove the spent blossoms each day this summer. These will stay looking realistic and healthy all season.While I still have quite some time to go before winter has lost its grip on my area, I am already planning what I might put out to look great along with this basket. Given the reasonable price of this planter, I'll have some left for a few others--and no need to pay for that plant food! I definitely recommend!
