Wonderfully soft. Wonderfully non slip

When I unboxed and unfolded this area rug I was surprised by just how soft it was. Like cashmere soft. I wasn't expecting that and it feels so wonderful under bare feet. The item description says it's "silky smooth" and they aren't kidding. Wow. I'm now kinda sorry I didn't order this in the larger size.The next thing I noticed was that there was no chemical smell. Often these dyed faux textiles that have been folded and shrink wrapped into plastic smell chokingly bad for days. This has no odor that I can detect and I'm very sensitive to odors.And this rug is pretty. At least I think it's pretty. The design is subtle and because of the almost monochrome palette it kind of goes well with colors.The backing is nice and non slip. Often these area rugs skid or bunch up. This one doesn't. Because it was folded and shrink wrapped on arrival it did have some creases initially but not nearly as bad as some rugs I've seen. And after 24 hours the creases calmed down. There are things (like a blow dryer or iron) you can use to speed up the crease removal. I just didn't think that was necessary.Right now this is priced around the mid fifty dollar mark but there's also a coupon that brings the cost to forty. Either way the price seems reasonable for what you're getting. Maybe mid fifties is a little high?BOTTOM LINE: I really like this little rug. Actually I am surprised by how much I like it. I think the patterning is great and goes well with many different colors and styles. And it is oh so so so soft!

Very thin

This rug looks just as picture. But it is a very thin rug. You will need to do the sticky paper trick so it does not slide when you walk over it. That is not have any weight to it at all. The 8x5 rug looked very weird in my living room. It look like I was missing half of the rug but I did only order an 8x5 which did not really fit. I definitely needed to buy the bigger rug but I did not think the rug was worth $159 at all. The quality of the rug, thinness of the rug, not worth the price for the 8x10 to me.

This is a well made, washable area rug. I needed for my basement which had an area rug until the area flooded. This is a good replacement area rug with a non skid backing . This mid century modern rug is washable and stain-resistant. Spills wipe clean easily and regular vacuums handle debris and pet hair fast. It come folded for easy transport and storage and the rug may have slight creases. You can either iron (on low heat) the rug back for quick crease removal, or reverse-roll and let it sit a couple of days for natural crease smoothing
