Bright, fun birthday candle. Will make your cake decorating skills look great even if they are not,

This is a colorful birthday cake candle. It reminds me of lego bricks. Looks can be deceiving, as the candle really does look as though it has the little pegs sticking out that you use to attach one lego brick to another, but that is just in the art work that is used to cover the front of the candle, and is not really part of the wax shape of the candle.The candle decoration is actually pretty timeless as kids of all ages (from 2 to 100) like to play with them, and it's multi colored front leaves you with lots of options for color scheme.I haven't burned the candle yet, but it looks high quality. The spike is plenty long enough and well secured within the candle itself, and the wick looks good. I like that the candle comes packaged with a cardboard back and a plastic front that keeps in place and protects it from breaking during shipping.I will always mention when a candle is left undecorated on its back side like it was on its front, that I wish candle makers would decorate the back side of a candle too, as often others only are seeing the back side, and the other people are important too, plus the candle overall will look better and more finished off.I received this candle for free through the Amazon Vine program in exchange for my honest review of it. Because it really is one of the best looking birthday candles I have seen over the years, I am happy to rate the candle with 5 stars, decorated back or not.

Fun LEGO-Themed Candle, But Design Feels One-Sided

This candle was a fun touch for my son's LEGO-themed birthday and looked great from the front. It fits the theme nicely and worked well as a one-time-use party decoration. The size is appropriate for a cake topper, and the wick was easy to light and stayed lit just long enough for the birthday song and the big blow-out.That said, the design has some noticeable limitations. The product images only show the candle from the front, so it's a bit of a surprise to see that the sides and back are left completely white. While the front looks vibrant, the lack of printing on the reverse side is disappointing - especially since depending on how it's placed, someone is always seeing a blank surface. Even a simple print on both sides would have made it feel more complete.Overall, it does the job and looks festive from one angle, but the lack of full coverage in the design keeps it from being as impressive as it could be.
