Metal parts, wood look.

These are wood-look curtain rods that are actually made of metal. I originally wanted wood but the metal construction seems durable and the wood-look appearence is high-end and neutral. They look like expensive rods from a specialty home goods store. I recommend them as a good value. I ordered the 28 to 86 inch set because it comes with a third, center bracket and the smaller ones did not.Construction:The rods are made up of 16 inch segments that you connect with threaded bolts. Once they are together it feels really solid. They were easy to put together and install. The instruction manual was helpful.The rods are slightly less than 16" and probably more like 15.75". From the instruction manual: Rod A is an end piece that holds a finial and it is the expandable rod. Rod B1 has an open end with a silicone ring to hold Rod A. The connecting parts are all called Rod B2 and they have threaded connectors on both ends. Rod C is a fixed end piece that holds a finial.These rods are renter friendly because you can add or subtract segments to make them longer or shorter if you move.Appearance:The wood grain look is subtle and resembles bamboo. I am using these with silver metal curtain rings and tie backs and the metal doesn't clash with the wood grain.Most of the parts are metal. The brackets are described as aluminum and the rods are described as iron. The rods are hollow so they weren't too heavy. The wood grain appearence seems baked on like a powder coating.The finials seem to be made of resin but I am not sure. If so, it is a hard resin not the squishy kind. They have a white leaf design.Installation:The rods were easy to hang but the brackets were tricky. They don't have that slide down opening some brackets have. There are two fixed screw holes so you have to get it right. The bottom hole was harder to reach with a scredriver because the the rod holder swoops down in front.I have plaster walls and I followed the instructions for wood not drywall. I installed the screws directly without using the anchors. Anchors tend to crumble my plaster but all plaster walls are different.

Strong and good quality, No wood was killed to make this product.

Tis curtain rod felt like it wouldn't be very strong coming out of the box. Once I assembled it (them) and hung them up, I was impressed.These are supposed to look like wood but it's all metal or plastic.Let's start with the rod; It's made of meatal and there are a whole bunch of pieces that screw together. Once they're together, it's pretty stout. Their listing said the seams are invisible but as you can see from the pictures, they are. Once the rod is up, it's unnoticeable. They assemble easily with a joint that screws into both sides.The ends of the rods, the spherical things are all plastic. Again, they look like wood from a short distance but if you were to tap on them or inspect them closely, it's clear they are plastic. They screw into the end of the bar and they look fine.The hangers are made of metal and painted to look like wood. They're the most convincing part of the set. They're very strong and will hold up heavy curtains without bending. They have a screw in them to keep the rod seated. There is hardware to mount into drywall.The whole thing can be modified for length because the bars are probably 18" long so you can vary them,The strength is sufficient, the quality is not great but it's good enough. Perfect for builder grade DIY like I'm doing, The wood appearance is convincing. It doesn't look cheap at all.I'm happy with the quality and value of this product.

Sturdy, Beautifully Made Rod

This curtain rod is durable, and well made. There are no sharp spots on the metal and it looks like wood until you pick it up. It is not flimsy, and the ends are solid and beautifully designed.I did not have any problems with the installation of this rod, or have trouble in putting the parts together for this curtain rod. I did like that the parts were individually packaged to prevent both loss of the screws and damage from the parts clanging together in shipping.I think this item is priced reasonably for the quality of the item, and I like it so much that I am adding it to my wishlist to replace several of our curtain rods as the budget allows. For me this is another one of those items that sparks joy - it is pleasing to look at and its not too decorative to match the rest of my eclectic farmhouse decor.I would absolutely give ths item as a gift, as well, because it is sturdy, beautiful, and useful. I'm one of those gift givers that tends towards giving practical gifts - and this one is not just useful, but pretty, too!

Cute styled wood curtain rods!

The imitation wood grain on the finials and rod looks surprisingly high-end. From the floor, you really can’t tell it isn’t solid wood. It has a nice matte texture that fits perfectly with a farmhouse or boho-style room. The round finials are classic and don't feel like cheap plastic. It took me about 15 minutes to get this up. It comes with all the hardware needed, and the instructions were straightforward.
