No Shade To This Shade

I reviewed this under the philosophy of “you get what you pay for“. And I’m actually gonna open this up by saying that since window fixtures like this can run the gamut from extremely cheap to mind blowing expensive, for what this product will provide it’s a fair price. You are not getting a steel, and the company is not ripping you off.This comes with everything you’re gonna need, which is always nice. Now this is something that is not going to last forever in your window, especially with frequent use. However, for the price is going to do the trick for a while. The installation was fairly easy, I can’t really complain about it. The instructions were pretty clear, but I would’ve appreciated them being a little more clear. But hey, I would always appreciate if any instructions are more clear. As I was pulling out the pieces and doing the installation, I realized that considering this was definitely a budget product, it was actually fairly nice. For the price I was not sure what I was gonna end up with. And I’ll just say I have cats, so I chose the grey color shades in order to minimize the look of any cat fur. And I also want a note just for some of you, the box was a bit heavy, although small. If you’re like me and have a bad back or maybe some arthritis, someone may need to help bring this in the house, despite the fact that the box itself is not large at all. As far as it’s late blocking abilities, it states that it’s about 100% light blocking, and I’m not sure if it’s 100% but it certainly is darn close. I think these shades would be great for an apartment or anywhere where you didn’t want to do any permanent damage to the windowsills by drilling. It’s absolutely perfect for renters. I like that. It comes in a small selection of earth tones, so you can find one that matches your decor.

Super easy to install and comes with everything you need.

This track blackout curtain is super easy to install and comes with everything you need to do so. I replaced our roll up curtain with this since we don't use our bedroom window. Everything was well made and you can tell the design was really thought about since it has magnets to keep the curtain flush with the window/wall helping to keep any light out. My only issue so far was the saw it came with. It's a simple hack saw but the plastic was just a bit too strong to easily use without bending the blade. Id recommend putting the track on first and allowing the adhesive to stick for a few hours before adding the curtain.
