This roller shade works well and deals with blackout as well as privacy issues. It is smooth, going up and down. It fits very well covering the 72 inch glass insert in my door. It is a classic looking shade. Some would suggest it’s old-fashioned. However, if you need to have a more modern looking update, all you need is a nice valance to cover it at the top. It was very easy to install and very reasonably priced.
Works as they should. Heavy material & room darkening. Easy to install. Great price.
It's perfect for my laundry little room
This cordless roller shade offers complete blackout functionality and was remarkably straightforward to install. The components are of exceptional quality, and the shade is remarkably lightweight. Notably, the compartment housing the shade is slender and compact, eliminating any bulkiness. This feature is advantageous, as the shade can be installed either within the frame or an external mount.
I got this cordless roller shade to use on my metal backdoor. Obviously I was not able to use the full installation kit because I can’t screw into the door. I clicked the brackets into the track and attached very heavy duty magnets to hold them to the metal door. The shade is easy to roll up and down. I am impressed with the amount of light it blocks although that is not my reason for wanting it. I have always hated that the window in my back door let people look right in, especially at night when the light inside increases visibility from outside. I love the privacy it provides and that it is easy to roll up and enjoy sunshine during the day.
I’m giving this cordless roller shade 2 stars even though it technically works. The blackout feature is the best part about it. It does block out sunlight very well and keeps the room dark. Unfortunately, the look of the shade is not very attractive. The design feels outdated and a little cheap. It doesn’t really match modern home decor. Another issue is that the roller does not go all the way up. Most of the time, it gets stuck halfway. That can be really annoying when you just want the window fully open. I find myself pulling it down again and retrying. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. It becomes frustrating after a while. On the positive side, installation is very easy. It took me less than 20 minutes to set up. No special tools were needed. The instructions were also simple to understand. If you only care about blocking light, this shade will do that job well. But if you care about how your space looks, this might not be the best option. I really wish it came in more modern styles. More design choices would make a big difference. Even a few color options would help.
This shade fit my window just as expected and was very easy to install. However, it does stick out a lot further from the wall than I had hoped, so it still lets about an inch of light through around all of the edges (I did an exterior mount, not interior). It goes up and down well, and has held up very well.
