This incense is absolutely wonderful. It’s pure, stick-less incense with a delicate, natural fragrance that’s never overpowering. It burns beautifully and lasts a good long while.As with any loose incense, having a proper dish to catch the ash makes the experience clean and easy, but the incense itself is truly exceptional. TOMORI brand has quickly become a favorite brand of mine While not an expert, incenses in general have become an important part of a nightly routine. I’ve purchased TOMORI’s Argarwood numerous times and have always been more than satisfied. I really like how there’s no bamboo or other type of “stick” that burns while the incense do.Their Sandalwood has to be the best Sandalwood of any brand I’ve purchased. Low smoke but great, smooth scent, definitely NOT overwhelming or perfume scent at all. Each piece typically burns for 30 minutes +/-.I’ve included a picture comparing a TOMORI vs a generic incense with a bamboo/wooden “stick” so folks could get an idea of how their sizes compare. Even though TOMORI sticks are shorter, they still burn in the same time (30 mins +/-) as generic with the “sticks.”***Seeing as there’s no wood stick occasionally you may receive a box with a few pieces that have broken. As you can see, in this box zero arrived broken.***

If you wonder how osmanthus smells like, it’s like lavender seasalt coldfoam (the one that starbucks used to sell with their matcha). I guess that’s why this flower scent is used in many Asian desserts. I’m happy with this purchase!

As an everyday incense burner, I won't use anything except premium Japanese sticks. They do not have a wooden? stick running through the middle coming out at the bottom. They are not smokey. They burn cleanly and the smoke is very very light. The scent is pure. They smell the same as my premium essential oils. The quality of the Japanese incense is superior to the others that also claim to be pure, organic, and less smokey. Japanese incense tends to be shorter than the ones with wood or whatever it is running down the middle so they do not have as much longevity. Do be careful--they are pretty fragile. I've broken several before I could light them. The sandalwood scent is great.
These incense sicks are tiny. Like the thickness of a larger sewing needle. Because they are so small they are hard fit into anything in order to burn. The scent is extremely light. It's not a bad scent but it's light and they burn quickly and don't last long.
