Nice looking shelves, great value, mounting system needs improvemnent

Pros: Though slightly darker than I anticipated, these shelves do look great. The stain is even & nicely highlights the grain in the wood - giving nice contrast against the flat wall behind them. All of the appropriate hardware is included, and the bracket design allows a lot of flexibility in terms of the installation position.Cons: The bracket design is accommodating for an easier install, but lacks a certain degree of sturdiness. Even hitting 2 studs and adding 3 more drywall anchors (5 screws over 36" length shelf) for stability, the bracket still flexes. If your wall is perfectly flat, and the shelves you have aren't warped - you can get a snug fit that'll feel quite secure & won't flex (by virtue of the shelf being perfectly flush to the wall). But if there's any bend to your wall, or to the shelf - you may find that the bracket has a little bit of flex to it, such that the shelf tilts ever so slightly. Even with a bit of flex, I'm certain the bracket will stay in position - and I don't worry that the mounts will snap. Even so, you never want to see a shelf tilt as you put something on it. With a better bracket design (maybe even just making the current design a little thicker in certain areas), this shelf would be near perfect.Overall - this shelf is great for the right purpose. For decor, lighter weight items, and similar - you won't find a better deal on a shelf of this size and style (particularly the 36" and 48" variants, at the 8" (7.5") depth). For shelves that may have more dynamic usage (items of varying weight constantly being placed on & removed from the shelves) - you might consider spending about twice as much for shelves that have a more heavyweight bracket design.

Good shelves, quality product

I have the 24” and 36” long shelves. The 24” are currently holding about 40lbs of plants on each shelf. They mount easy but you need to mount them to studs to get maximum weight on them. The hardware that comes with the shelves will hold them but very little weight would be supported. overall good product. time will tell on the longevity of them.

Great looking. Hardware not so much.

I would give them 5 stars, as the shelves themselves are really nice quality and solid. They also look great on my wall! The issue was that I noticed after a couple of days that one of them was sagging. The shelf was also not feeling "solid" on the wall and moved slightly. I know I installed them correctly and into studs. I had to purchase brackets on Amazon and now they are really tight against the wall. Overall happy with them now, but the hardware that comes with these should be more substantial.

Looks expensive

I cannot say enough great things about these shelves. They are excellent quality, thick wood. The mounting brackets are very sturdy and easy to install! I was worried because some of the other reviews complained about install, disregard those.These look like expensive shelves. Don’t even think about it, just get them.

These shelves are a good, inexpensive alternative to more expensive solid wood shelves

This was my first time installing floating shelves, so I did quite a bit of research before ordering the Welland 8" Deep Floating Shelves. I’m handy with tools so the installation was straightforward. I used a stud finder to locate two studs I would screw into for a secure installation. I also used a laser level clamped to my ladder to ensure both shelves were as even as possible. I substituted the deck screws and plastic wall anchors that came with the shelves for heavier anchors I’ve used to hang other heavier shelves (item B08HDCL841).After mounting the brackets, I discovered two things worth noting. First, my walls were not flat and that caused the brackets to bow inward about 1/4” to 3/8” in the middle of the bracket. This was not a defect with the mounting bracket - it was a defect with my wall. Anyway, although my shelves are flush to the wall at the edges there is a gap in the middle where the shelves are not flush. Second, I checked both brackets to make sure, when you mount the brackets with the correct side pointing up, the shelves mount tipped up at about a 5-degree angle. I assume this is purposeful to keep things from rolling off the front edge of the shelves. Both brackets have three bars that slip into the shelves and all six bars were like this, so I doubt it’s a defect.Finally, the finish is better than I would have expected. From a small distance they do look like a solid piece of hardwood rather than a less expensive shelf. Overall, I would recommend these shelves as an inexpensive alternative to more expensive solid wood shelves.
