Sturdy, functional shelves.

First let me say, these are actually some good little shelves. I needed something for my tiny toilet room and these were perfect. They are not fancy, and definitely not waterproof, so don't put them in particularly wet environments or the MDF (the 'wood' material) will swell. This really shouldn't be hard as it's generally a bad idea to get the walls you'd mount this to wet, so it should not be an issue for anyone. They are a clean white, but if you look closely you can see where the veneer meets at the edges-again, this shouldn't be a problem because who stares at shelf edges?I've uploaded the instructions in case someone gets some without (it happens) or loses them. Please note, as previous customers have pointed out, they aren't the best. It says you just need a screwdriver and that is simply not true (and I'm a master at turning anything into a hammer). Hopefully this will help:Tools:HammerDrill1/4" Drill Bit and Screw BitSmall LevelPackage Contents (6 screws, 6 wall anchors, 2 shelves)Instructions:1.Decide where you want your shelves and measure to that point on both edges of the walls (from ceiling or floor it doesn't matter, just be consistent).2.Hold the shelf flat against the wall as though one side's screws were missing and it is hanging with the edge at your level mark. You can now see the slots for the screws (note: make sure the hole slots are facing the wall and not you). Mark the center of those slots.3.Do the same to the adjoining wall with the other side of the shelf.4.Using the 1/4" drill bit, make the hole.5.Take the wall anchors, flatten them out, and wiggle them into the hole (this can require a little force, but it is doable) until they stay. Hold them by the bend that you flattened and hammer them gently into the wall (you have to hold them until you reach the bend or they'll just collapse-just tap gently, it shouldn't require a lot of force).6.Screw the screws into the anchor holes until only about a 1/4" is outside of the wall. You will see about two threads.7.Pop shelf slots over screws. Keep in mind that drywall has a little give. If you're a smidge off, applying a small amount of pressure will shift the screw slightly (if you're off by a lot don't try this, only if it's close).8.You can check that you're level now. So long as you lined the shelf up with the edge against the wall, this should be level.Hope that helps!
