This is a great accent shelf for smaller lightweight items.Warning: It is not very sturdy and made of very thin board. It was easy to install up until securing the shelf to the metal housing. I could not get the screw holes to match up and gave up for fear of buckling the boards. For the price it's a good accent shelf.
we ended up being very pleased with these. Had thought about ordering true rustic barn wood but these are 12inches deep and 2 inches thick so barn wood that size would be extremely heavy. Can't tell a lot of differenceonce you hang them up - they really look great. My two 30'ish daughters love them. We used some rustic metalbrackets instead of the hardware so i can't say how it works. Overall for the price these are great - particularlysince hardware is included.
Easy to install and looks great against a brick wall.
I tried several different brands of floating shelves. You get what you pay for and Welland is hands down the best I've seen. I wanted a 24" shelf to mount centered between two wall studs. The support brackets for the other two cheaper brands I tried were less than 14" wide (even though the shelf was 24" wide). This means at best you could only mount to one wall stud (shelves have the highest weight carrying capability when mounted to wall studs). The Welland mount was by far the best quality and was intelligently designed to straddle two studs. Very easy to install and the directions were the most complete. Shelf was highest quality too. One of the other brands I tried had streaks across the shelf top caused by too much finish which ran in streams down the shelf top.
The shelf is funny durable as long as you install it properly. You should at least hit one stud. You can use the anchors for the others
I bought this shelf due to the extra depth of the shelf. Deeper than 6”. This arrived in a cardboard box that weighed less than 2lbs. I had my maintenance man install it, but I am not happy with this shelf. I have attached my video of how much it wobbles without more than a couple of ounces being put on the shelf. The plastic anchors were very brittle, and broke being insert.No, I do not recommend this shelf! Not worth $60.
Like the wood shelf, finish, light weight and free floating design.Don't like the lightweight bracket that is just barely not long enough to hit two studs.The shelf is a little wobbbly at best. They used to make these better.
