Definitely A Pleasant Smelling Suprise!
Being the father of two flatulent canines and an even worse 12-year old son, I have been looking for something to cut through the latent funk that has permeated the house. Since most air fresheners and wax-based "stink-repellents" fall square within the feminine domain with flavors such as "Aromatic apple," "Bodacious baby powder," or even "Overly-pretentious pinot grigio," I did not relish the thought of wandering through another foo-fooey bath and lotion store, to get to the back shelf where the only masculine scents are "pine tree" and "tobacco-laden musk(rat)."Not wanting to leave the house for such a pleasurable experience, I decided to take a chance on making the most of my Prime account and seeing what was available to order from Amazon. After seeing plenty of the same "foo-fooey" scents, I happened across Wax & Wick based on the recommendation of a friend. Browsing through the available scents brought me to my decision, and the most masculine scent of them all - Whiskey.Whiskey? Really? OMG, I have to check this out. So, I ordered the candle and it arrived a few short days later. I set the box on the counter by the coffee pot. I peeked in the box to ensure there really was a candle in there. I sniffed. Ooooh, nice smell. And... Then I left the closed box on the counter as I ran off to attend to another household emergency.Fast forward to about a week or so later. What's that I smell? Something is different here. I follow my nose back to the kitchen, and am greeted with the wonderful smell of whiskey that has filled the room. Keep in mind this is only with the candle still in the box. Later on, after taking the candle out of the box, we decided to light the wick - and wow, this is where the candle really shined. The smell was fantastic, the wick was easy to light (I wasn't sure what to expect with a wood wick), and the display was beautiful to look at!
