Non Slip and Added a Lil Extra Cushion

This rug pad has that rubber bottom, which didn't slip as much as some of my other rugs. So with the rug on top of it I noticed I didn't have to readjust it as much. The felt material did provide a small but noticeable difference in cushion as well as making that spot less cold in the morning compared to just the rug. The only cons are because of the felt as well, over time the top part of felt started to move around and kind of collect in clumps to the point where you could kind of just pick a piece off; so cleaning any small crumbs or bits with a vacuum would be tedious. The pad is thin enough to cut with some heavy duty scissors or shears if you want to trim it

This Pad Has A Rubber Bottom That Stays Put

I’ll start this review by saying this is a Rug PAD not an actual rug to be used on its own. It works perfectly as a pad because it lies quite flat under my rug and keeps the rug from shifting because it has a rubber backing.I appreciate that the rubber backing provides a waterproof factor though I have not added water to it as a test, I have no doubt that it will indeed keep water from leaking onto the floor underneath should there be some liquid spill.I appreciate that the pad may be cut to size with scissors since it is only a rather thin layer. Don’t let the fact that it is thinner fool you because it needs to be thin to allow the rug placed ontop to lie flat and not make it a tripping hazard.Initially, there was a bit of a smell, but I find most anything shipped in sealed plastic to have a smell - have a sensitive smeller- SMILES but the smell completely dissipated after I left the pad outside on my porch for a few hours to allow it to air out completely.I much prefer using this pad to trying to keep a rug secured by sticky pads or other means that never seem to work for more than a short while. Given the quality of this pad I expect this to last for a very long time so I consider it a good investment and would choose it again.

Comfortable and Well-Cushioned, but Visible Dark Staining Affects Display Quality

This rug is comfortable underfoot and has a nicely cushioned feel. The thickness provides good softness, making it pleasant to walk or sit on, and the non-slip backing is well designed and keeps the rug securely in place.Unfortunately, the visual presentation did not match what was shown online. Upon unrolling the rug, there were multiple dark patches that appear similar to oil or discoloration stains. These marks were noticeable and unevenly distributed across the surface. We spent several days working on one of the darker areas in the lower corner, but the stain remained and did not lift.Because of the visible discoloration, we’re unable to display this rug in our living room as intended. While the comfort and construction are good, the appearance is a significant factor for a display area, and the staining takes away from the overall look.This may still work well in a less visible space where comfort and function matter more than appearance, or under an 8 ft circular rug for extra cushion but for a main living area, the visual quality was disappointing.
