Not waterproof!!

I had bought this to replace a similar product that I had on my sofa that would never stay in place. That first product had a plastic backing that made it waterproof but then it would just slip and slide everywhere. This is more of a big sheet with a floor surface and rubbery dots on the back to keep it in place.It does stay in place. The color is what I wanted. The velor is very comfortable and not sweaty. The only problem is that this has no waterproof layer and it is not waterproof.It doesn't seem to have some sort of a DWR treatment that causes liquids to bead up and allows you to block them off. This is not stop the moisture from going through the fabric. Since I am more worried about cat puke, this works well for me. If you were trying to protect it against red wine, I would say bets are off.I use my Vine access to create informative reviews. It is my honest, uncompensated opinion. I test products against the claims made on their Amazon web page. No 5 star rubber stamps here.My original sofa cover had a shape to it that was sewn with piping to try to fit the sofa. Unfortunately, the dimensions were very poor fit for myself. This is more like just a big cover sheet. I have two cats that like to climb all over our sofa and even though we were away for 4 days we came back and the sheet was in place.Are you going to want to leave this on your sofa when company is around? No. Is a good enough for everyday use when you don't really care about the aesthetics but you just want something that's comfortable and to protect your furniture. Yes.

This is a pretty nice, inexpensive couch cover

This is a pretty nice, inexpensive couch cover. I got the largest one, as we have a large sectional couch with the extra ottoman & this fits it pretty well - fits 3 pieces of the sectional with some extra for our 4th piece that's attached. Our couch is starting to rip right at the seems on the bottom portion of the couch, I assume just from use & having 4 dogs who also sit & lay on it. So we needed something to cover those up, not just to hide them but also to hopefully protect it a bit so they don't keep ripping. This cover is like a large blanket. It has the little rubber or silicone circles on the bottom side to help keep it in place, but ours does still slide off the couch & I have had to fix it a few times already, but overall it is pretty decent. The material is nice as well, I don't see anywhere on the listing where it actually states what the material is, but it feels like a microfiber type material, just a bit shorter fibers & a little rougher. It almost matches the material of our couch! I also love that you can just easily throw this in the washing machine & theres no buttons or straps, etc that you have to worry about & shrinking wouldn't be an issue for us either since it is so large & covers the couch so nicely.
