Know that it’s an inexpensive, super thin, super light-weight “floor covering” your’re ordering

I was a little taken aback by how “light” this “rug” is once unsealed from the vacuum bag and laid out in the floor. First, it’s a little, no, it’s a lot unfair to compare this to the type of woven rug you’d get at Target or Home Depot, much less Pottery Barn or any other mid-to-higher end furnishing store. Those are woven and this definitely isn’t. I think it’s trying to be a more cost-friendly alternative to Ruggable or Tumble, but having ordered a few of those, this is definitely a step below. Which is totally fine as long as you know that when you order this. It feels like it’s made of felt. Literally. I’ve used moving blankets with more heft and weight than this rug has. Again, that’s fine, just be aware of that. It’s very thin, very light for a 6x9 rug, so I suppose that makes it easy to move and wash. It also means that if you vacuum this, make sure you use a very low level of suction, otherwise it will probably clog the vacuum like when you try vacuuming a sheet or towel (not that I’ve tried). I can’t comment on the durability over time, but I’m not sure if it would last in a high traffic area given how thin it is and what it seems to be made of. So the pros are it’s light weight, can be washed, can be moved relatively easily, and it doesn’t smell coming out of the package despite having some sort of rubberized backing. Considerations are that it feels and looks low-budget, mainly because it is. And that’s alright as long as you know that when you purchase this. Four stars because I’m raring it knowing it’s a cost efficient floor covering, but I can’t justify five stars given how I perceive the overall quality.

I have pets and kids and a little dawn dish soap and cold water does the trick. I love the low pile, just what I was looking for. I use a rubber bristle broom and a stick vac for cleaning.
