This is a great clock. Bright face with contrasting large numbers makes it easy to read. Having the date and temperature is also a very nice feature. This clock keeps accurate time as well. I am very pleased with this purchase.
Huge clock that LOOKS GREAT and everything on it WORKS!! It's easy to hang on nail or large picture hanger (you need the 50-lb hanger even though this clock is lightweight because you need the bigger hook for the hole.) If it matters to you it does stick out from the wall because it's about twice as thick as a regular wall clock - probably because of all it does; it doesn't matter to me because it looks fine. You definitely need to use the directions that come with it to set it - scan or don't throw them away - save for when you change batteries and need again - YOU WILL NEED THEM! They work and are clear - just a lot of steps. If you are elderly, find a nice 17-year-old to set yours.
This is a very nice addition to my living room. The main reason for this purchase was to have a quiet non- tik tik clock. It is silent, which I absolutely love. I have some trouble with my eyesight so I can't see the date and time as well, but I kind of figured that before I bought it. It takes two batteries. One for the clock and one for the date, time, temperature display.I will also note that there was a problem with the first clock, but it was handled and replaced in a very friendly, fast and easy manner.
This clock is a good product overall . Silent as promised. LCD display is clear and visible . Hands and Numerals are BOLD and BIG - good for people with sight problems. However , I had to give it 4 stars out of five due to the following annoying features :1) Inaccurate temperature reading - It shows about 5 or 6 degrees Celsius above the real temperature.2) The wheel dial on back (which sets the analog hands) feels very cheap and loose , so you have to be very gentle with it , in order to be precise. If you touch it accidently , the minute hand might move a few millimeters . Be aware of it when you hang the clock on the wall.
I've only had the clock for a little over a week, but so far I like the look, it's easy to easy to read. I wish the digital portion was a little brighter, but since this was actually a bonus on the basic clock, so it's not a big deal. It's still a great clock.
Imitation wood finish blends reasonably with other wood furnishings. Basic design with no frills, but our rationale was to have high visibility. This aspect of the clock is met very well. The large size and simple black on white numbers make this clock legible from a distance across the room. One of us has severe macular degeneration and this clock is quite readable. It has worked perfectly and soundlessly since arrival. We have other, smaller wall clocks with white letters on a black background and feel that that combination is slightly more legible for people with AMD, however, we use them in smaller rooms because of their smaller size (12”). The clocks in 16” size that are available on Amazon with white on black all have some negatives (sharpness of numbers, thickness of numbers, brightness of numbers, font of numbers), which made us purchase this item.
Its looking is elegant! Workmanship is beautiful , and functional, recommended!
