Wasn’t sure how these would look, but I liked them enough to order a 2nd set. The outer fronds are really long. See my photo: there is a full set of 2 ferns in the one planter. The planter is 28” high. I put rocks in the bottom (which is about 12” from the top) to help hold the fern stake in place but I plan to get florist’s clay to hold it better.
It is exactly described and looks real!!
These ferns are very plastic-y. They are more like cheap aquarium plants than craft store floral aisle ferns. They also have a pungent odor right out of the box, so they need some airing out. Regardless, they do fluff out nicely, and each frond is fully bendable. I end up using them as decoration in a rain oil lamp, and they look great. At a dollar of less per sprig ( depending on what bundle size you buy) these things are pretty great!
Update, I purchased a second set and they are different than the first ones. These only have three leaves per stem (as opposed to 5 leaves like the old ones), they are also cheaper and brighter than the other ones. :( I am upset because I am on a time limit and cannot return these right now. Quality is inconsistent. 1st pic are the new ones (with 3 leaf spots, 2nd pic is the old one with 5 leaf spots.I'm not sure if I am biased or not. But I am not a fan of the tiny plastic leaves. They just don't look right up close. From far they look find, but not from 3 feet away or less. For the price, I've seen better.
I was pleasantly surprised at how full just ONE bunch was. I got the 15 bundle and thought I would just have enough for maybe 1-2 pots. I thought they would be spindley, but they were not. Very nice bunches.In one pot I put 5 stems around a fake greenery that I already had in the center (this is a 14" pot). The next 14" pot, I put 6 and it is full. I used the others to fill in some smaller pots on my deck. The individual stems fluffed out nicely.They are plastic, they are shiny, but the color is very pretty, variegated. I know the shine will fade eventually b/c I tend to leave mine out year round. The plastic is perfect for outdoors. I love realistic fake greenery. I do not have a green thumb but I like my yard to be pretty. These worked very well and I thought it was a good price point.
I mixed these ferns in with some other artificial flowers in planters that are near my front door. I was tired of replacing the plants that kept dying. I would not say these look "real" mainly because the bright green coloring is not realistic of the ferns we typically see in the South. I didn't expect them to look real but I love how they spruce up my entrance. There were plenty bundles to fill my planter.I will say they don't smell very good at all. I took them out of the packaging and let them set out for a week or so in order for the smell to dissipate.
I got these in the 15 bundle option. When you open the package it has a really nasty plastic smell. I put them outside to air out. These are for outside anyway so that won’t matter. They are very nice. I shook them after unwrapping them and they really opened up and fluffed out. They look nice and thick and full. Because they are full I won’t need too many to fill a pot. They are going to look great on the patio. The price is great for how many pieces you get. These are made well and look like they will last. I give them 5 stars.
