Faux greenery – long stems but not ficus or eucalyptus

When I ordered these branches, I had no idea what to do with them . . . until I found a beautiful basket on my walk. It seemed to be the perfect height, and I was right! The stems are very long & flexible so I was able to bend them to a shorter length to fit the basket and they look really good!There are some notables about these branches. Although designed to be sparse, every one of the stems & branch off-shoots, whether short or long, is bendable so you can shape the arrangement very specifically. Some faux stems have unwired groups of greenery that slip onto a wired end but you have no control to shape them individually. That’s not the case with these and it’s a real benefit given the sparseness of leaves on the stems. The leaves have subtle shades of green with some brown around the edges. I can’t confirm the leaves are made of silk because they are stiffer than other faux silk stems. Perhaps, they are treated with some sort of coating to make them a bit stiffer?I was pleasantly surprised at how easily this arrangement came together. The stems are simple & elegant and will make an attractive addition to a work space, doctor's office, home or any place you choose to put them. Any tall vessel should work but I’m happy with my free basket!I caught these stems on a sale and found them to be very affordable at the then asking price. The set offered on VINE included six stems which is an adequate quantity for a very tall vessel but that’s a matter of preference. If you are more skilled at arranging, I’m sure you can make these into something even better but as a novice, I’m happy with the arrangement!They offer these branches in 3-, 4-, 6-, and 8-pieces. The 3-piece set looks like olive branches in the listing photo while the others are all the same shape as what I received (and are neither eucalyptus nor ficus). I would like to deduct a half star for the listing error but no half stars allowed so they get 5-stars because this is a quality product. But at least now you won't be disappointed if you order them!

Very long set of faux ficus branches

Hmmm…Maybe it’s me since other reviewers have not complained of difficulty in arranging this set of 6 artificial ficus branches. They arrived, like most faux floral pieces, folded into a small box. They are realistic looking and as tall as they are advertised to be. The stems are thick, heavy duty and require some muscle to get them to bend. My problem was that I could not get them to spread nicely in a vase, as pictured in the ad. The first vase I tried was about 12” tall with a narrow mouth. The weight of the stems pulled the vase over, breaking it. My second attempt was a tall, about 18” container with a wider mouth. I ended up folding the stems in half to keep them from sliding into a clump - but that left some of the floral on the lower end of the branches wadded up near the mouth. Third time was not the charm - I tried in a shorter vase with a slightly smaller mouth and still couldn’t achieve the look in the ad. Since I planned to use these branches in an arrangement with some spring flowers, I have time to shop for a vase with a weighted bottom and smaller mouth. But for now, my frustration level is such that these are going to be put away til winter is over. This set is exactly as pictured, and is a decent value for $24.

Pretty Faux Ficus Stems With a Natural Look and Good Value

I just received these artificial ficus branches in the green and black option. They are also available in all green, but after looking closely at both styles, I honestly cannot tell much of a difference. Either option looks very natural.The leaves are advertised as silk, and when you look at them up close, they really are quite pretty. The color variation gives them a realistic look without feeling overly shiny or fake. The stems have a nice structure and hold their shape well.The vase shown in my photos is not the vase they will stay in. The opening is a bit too wide, which makes the arrangement look sparse. I will either be switching to a vase with a smaller opening or ordering a few more stems to fill it out. That part is more about styling than the product itself. I just used a vase I had on hand for the review.Price wise, these are very comparable to other faux greenery sets. They are offered in a four piece, six piece, or eight piece option, and the larger sets offer better value. Overall, I am happy with what I received. These are a nice option if you are looking to add some greenery without the upkeep of real plants.
