This snuffer is totally effective for 3-4" jar candles. Reviews saying it is too small or whatever are just wrong. This snuffer will put out the flame or flames on a jar candle 100% of the time while hovering just above the flame for a few seconds.
I’m not sure this was a particularly good value for the price I paid, but it serves the intended purpose. The quality is okay, but I probably would give it 3.5 stars if I could. I got it primarily to use with a Sterno camping stove. It’s just the right size for that, though I would prefer the handle be a bit longer. If you are considering it for jar candles, I suggest measuring first. It can work fine for some, but is going to be too small for others, especially the multi-wick variety.

i already reviewed this before, as for the others in this email. It is not wide enough for my Chesapeake candles.
There's really not much to say. It's basically a tin pan with a handle. It's not very functional and it has a hard time doing it's simple job of stuffing out candles. It's too shallow and the handle needs to have a better elevated shape. I'm speechless.
This item is used for Church. It does a wonderful job for what it’s used.
This is a good sniffer for pillar candles, since it goes over the entire top and also prevents the smoke from wafting into the air. It’s thin, but it does the job, and is value-priced.
