Simple yes, but care needed for proper installation
I like these wall mounts. Very simple, yet complex. Six total holes to drill. Instructions are easy for my handyman husband to understand. We will have to install in concrete walls so I do wish there was an adhesive option for the bottom base. I know there are adhesives that can handle the weight of a record and case so we may look into that. I think the trickiest part of installation will be leveling the bottom bases as well as the top but also centering the top to be in line with the bottom base. We are picky and we notice when it's wrong so this will be time consuming. While I do think it's a cool gift, keep the precision and time needed for proper install in mind. Comes in giftable packaging.

Lovely Design, Sturdy Mounting.
These are made of real wood and not some wood look alike plastic and they look wonderful. The bottom piece screws into the wall and comes with the mounting hardware to do so. These work wonderfully for vinyl records even on a less than strong wall (like drywall) and is easy to install. My only worry is that the top piece is only held on using double sided sticky tape. I wanted to use these not just for a few vinyls that I'm currently playing or want to play next, but I have some lovely glass marques from old arcade games that I wanted to show off. While it works perfectly I worry that the weight if it leans against the top piece for some reason for too long might make the sticky bit come off, or even just time, so be aware of that. Otherwise, it seems perfectly sturdy especially for what it's designed for, vinyl records.At an MSRP of 29.99 for 6 sets (at time of review) it comes out to nearly 5 dollars each, which might seem expensive compared to cheaper plastic solutions, but these IMO look much better and are definitely more sturdy than plastic options I've used before. A must buy for record enthusiasts!

Overall I think these would be a good purchase for personal use IF you have the time to invest. Just so you understand exactly what they are, they are small 2 inch pieces of wood being used as a "shelf" for your records along with a much smaller half inch piece of wood that functions as a top piece to grab the record in the middle of the top edge and hold it. As cool as it would look, we never could get them correctly installed. The fact that each shelf only holds one record but would require 2-3 holes to be placed in the wall for each one was a bit irritating to us since we would have been placing them in our rented apartment. Overall the number of holes this would leave in the wall was concerning just to place six records (meaning 18 nail holes in the wall). Also the item would require perfect alignment for it to look good. The amount of time this would require and the tools needed was also unappealing. Even though the little shelves could handle the weight of a record, there are much easier installation options from other products that display records. I can't recommend this item as a gift unless you are also interested in hiring someone to install them as part of the gift or you just really hate the person you are giving this too.

Cute, simple, and very on trend!
I was hoping to have house renovations along far enough to show the product in use but sadly that is not possible, so, I am going to review based off the characteristics I am able. While I cannot say the ease of installation is for sure since I have not yet done it, the instructions are very clear and specific, and list all included pieces and their uses. The quality of the wood is nice, it is smooth, no obvious stain issues, and definitely not uneven or warped. These are a great value for the money, and I can't wait to update with a photo of the records actually in them! They are cute, stylish, and a great addition to a record player display and music area!
