Did not work for me

I am throwing a vintage tea party and thought this vase could act as a centerpiece since it is lean, tall and could be full yet won’t block the sight line with people sitting across the table. But, This vase did not meet my expectations. The item arrived particularly poorly packaged. I say that cos they charge so much but can’t even box it properly.The gold pieces are metal. The diamond like jewel is likely acrylic but the trumpet vase itself is very much plastic like.It did not come with any instructions. So if you want to assemble, you will have to go to the product page on Amazon and watch the video. While it may seem intuitive, it actually has a couple of nuances that you will know only if you watch the video.Even then I really couldn’t get it assembled after watching the video multiple times (pausing). The instructions on online video seems straight forward but the hardware actually doesn’t seem to stay stable. There is a black plastic like part that is used for leverage when screwing in but somehow mine didn’t help.Also the black part already came attached to one of the metal rods while in the video it looks like it should be separate from the rod and it’s only attached to the rod at the end of the assembly instructions. I couldn’t separate the black part from the rod.If you were successful assembling I just didn’t like the idea that there is a rod sticking out inside the trumpet vase. I understand this is for stability but despite all this, I just think by design this could have been simpler to put together.In the end, I just gave up assembling cos mine kept wobbling since I was unable to tighten the screws (or the product itself has design flaw), Eventually I came up with my own idea of making a trumpet vase and then used the Acrylic crystal and couple of the gold coverings to use as a candle holder (see pic).I left off few of the parts Un used. And oh, there was one that had a mild crack in it (see pic)For 42$, I just don’t see this was worth it. Even if I would have been able to assemble this, I still think it is expensive, even the smaller size isn’t worth the price.I would use dollar store items and DIY a budget friendly vase easily.
