Truly Precious!

We gave this little globe as a gift to our friend who now has it displayed near her front door on a glass table. It truly is a beautiful decoration and even has a little light inside. This is a beautiful gift!

I love it, BUT...

This is the second arrangement that I received, though this time not as a gift but a replacement of the original sympathy gift arrangement that was originally sent to my husband & I.I removed only one star because I was 'put out' and had to return our arrangement that I felt didn't get caught by the companies QC dept. When it arrived & not knowing who had sent it to us, or why, I opened the box very carefully. It was in a gift bag fulfilled by Amazon, and a lovely note from a friend. It was very securely boxed & I saw how fragile it was with its glass globe & the beautiful living arrangement. I immediately removed the cellophane wrap over the globe to keep it from getting scratched & noticed on the wood base that there was a gold button that could be pressed to do something that the 3 AAA batteries beneath the base were for. I put the batteries into the base of the arrangement & snapped the plastic cover back in place. When I pushed the button, nothing happened. I knew that I didn't make a mistake in the battery insertions. That's when I noticed that there wasn't an on/off switch in place where it should've been; hence why I thought it was a QC miss. I had no idea what it was supposed to do? Light up, play music or what? The sender, (a friend) was notified (by me) because of what happened & as I'd found out, she was not going to be informed by the seller or Amazon of my return? I was told that they would give me a credit after it was returned to Amazon. Though I'd told my friend thank you, and about the mishap, she got on the phone & called Amazon. Apparently they were going to let me get a replacement, but I had no idea that I had a text sent to my phone requiring me to click if I was expecting a call from Amazon in my messages. I went within a couple days later to return the re-boxed arrangement. I made sure that the QR code that I'd printed out worked for my return with the agent before I even walked away. That night or the next, I went onto the seller's site to try to find the exact arrangement my friend had sent to us & I couldn't find it. I was going to get another arrangement from the seller & found that Amazon hadn't put the refund in my account yet after I'd returned it days before. I let my friend know & she wrote back to tell me that they returned the refund to her card of payment. Later that night she sent me an gift card instead. I bought myself another beautiful arrangement with my husband & my favorite color of blues in it. When I received it the next day & went through the unwrapping/unveiling process, I had such high hopes. What I got was another surprise. Not only did I feel dumb about my 'QC fail assumption' after the 1st arrangement debacle, but it was a lesson learned. Never assume why things happen the way that they do. My new arrangement was different. The flowers were the arrangement that I had chosen. The button that would depress on the 1st arrangement was not one that could be pressed. It was a decorative brass screw in/or glued in place. The bottom had a plastic cover to remove where the batteries would otherwise go, there was NO SWITCH in place, & a brand new pack of three AAA batteries was stuffed in the foam base. My guess is that the seller may have been having issues of the tiny lights that they were using failing or unable to obtain, so rather than replace the wooden bases used for the battery installation with a solid base, or where the previous gold pressable button/and likely wire to operate the lights was replaced by a brass, stationary knob to make it look similar or fill in a hole. Why were the batteries still packaged?? That I can only guess maybe the packaging was already boxed, and batteries readied for whatever arrangement was ordered? I looked all over the site. There was no mention of discontinuing the lights on the arrangements anywhere. How many other people returned their beautiful arrangements as I did because they thought that they too received a product that QC missed? Receiving my first one like that, I went to the site to look for what it was supposed to do. This is IMHO; I would be honest and transparent on your site description. Today, I looked and you still have it listed in your 3rd paragraph ABOUT THE ITEM that they are equipped with lights and the batteries for them. You should fix that. You have a beautiful product even WITHOUT the lights, (since I only saw what videos others had posted looked like as well as your still photos), I wouldn't have let that be a reason that I wouldn't purchase your arrangement for what it's worth. In the end we still have ours. ; ) Thank you.

My Mother Was Very Impressed

My mother is difficult to buy for. I’ve found past gifts in her garage sales, with tags still on them 😂 She even had a large bag full of prior gifts that she would REGIFT to others, after she KNEW the garage sale ordeal bothered me. I can actually count all the gifts she loved and used on one hand. In fact, she still has all those items. This was a Mother’s Day gift, but the other gifts, there was a rolling duffle bag (2008, I think) for Christmas, a jewelry box and a ton of jewelry for her birthday (2013), a Costco membership 😂 (2020) for Christmas, and then this one, for Mother’s Day. I totally failed the last two Christmases. I almost didn’t buy her anything for Mother’s Day. I usually don’t because I don’t want to disappoint her. One year, I got a her a Spa gift certificate, not knowing she’d stopped going and decided to do her nails at home. I’m wondering if she ever used it before it expired. That was 2017.My mother loves carnations, but $65 for some delivered to her, was far too expensive, considering I couldn’t remember the color she likes, and they die quickly. My wedding anniversary was Thursday, so I couldn’t spend too much. Too many holidays, birthdays, baby showers, and other occasions too close together. For several days, I’d ask for if she had recently checked her mail, pretending that my son had mail coming there. Finally, I begged her to check it, saying it was important. She text me soon after and said she loved her gift, and was impressed with how real they looked. I told her they ARE real, and they’d last much longer than fresh ones. I told her I got the color my sister said she’d like (there was only red or blue). I showed her the blue one and she joking said she may need that one, as well. My mother NEVER asks for anything or hints around, so I took that as she would like that one as a gift, too. So, I’ll get that one for her birthday. It looks like it might match her bedroom decor. She’s a simple woman when it comes to decor. It’s a long story I’m sure she’d rather me not share. A sad one, at that.Anyway, these are worth the price tag. I was hesitant to spend that much on a few flowers under a glass dome, but I was running out of time and thought that if they were as beautiful as the photos, they were definitely worth it. My sister said she’d love it. My sister is closer to her than I am, but we are now closer than we’ve ever been. I’m 38, so it took a while, but we’re getting there.
