High Quality, Low Price, Extremely Happy

I put a painting on my wall but I did not like the bare walls next to the painting. I found these shelves and they were perfect. They are extremely affordable and have impressed me. They are solid wood and really good quality. They came with a template which made hanging them much easier. The only tool I use that was not included was a laser level that I used just to make sure I had the shelves even across the wall. I could not be happier with this purchase.

Nice-Looking Real Wood Shelves That Are Best Treated Gently

I installed these shelves in my office and overall I like them, but they definitely come with a few caveats that are worth knowing before you buy.Installation wasn’t very hard, but there is a small learning curve. The instructions list the anchor drill bit size in millimeters, so I had to convert that to standard. A 15/64" bit worked perfectly. One thing I learned quickly is that you really need to screw the mounting screws in farther than you think you do. If you don’t, the shelves will lean forward slightly and won’t sit flush against the wall. Once I figured that out, mounting went smoothly.The shelves themselves are definitely real wood, not MDF or composite, and they actually smelled really nice coming out of the box. Assembly was simple and intuitive, and once mounted, the shelves feel stable enough for their intended purpose. I wouldn’t describe them as rock-solid, but they don’t wobble or feel loose when installed correctly.I’m a little skeptical of the 50 lb weight rating, mostly because of the mounting method and my own trust level in how perfectly I got everything lined up. If these shelves were sitting on a countertop instead of hanging on a wall, I’d absolutely believe they could hold that much weight. On the wall, though, I personally feel more comfortable using them for lighter items rather than really heavy or valuable things.Visually, they look great and match the listing photos well, but there is a noticeable amount of color variation in the end pieces. Some are a deep, rich brown, while others are much lighter, almost like they weren’t stained as thoroughly. It feels less like natural wood variation and more like inconsistent finishing. Also, it’s surprisingly easy to assemble or install them upside down if you’re not paying attention. A small “top” marking or sticker would have been helpful, though this isn’t a huge issue.I think these shelves really shine as decorative or light utility shelves. They’d be great for small décor items, plants, spice jars, mugs, or bathroom storage like washcloths and extra toilet paper. I wouldn’t recommend them for books, very heavy items, or fragile collectibles you’d be upset about if something shifted.Overall, I do like them and would recommend them for the right use case. They look nice, are made of real wood, and are easy to assemble, but the mounting style and inconsistent staining keep them firmly in 4-star territory for me.

Easy to install, looks great on the wall!

I ordered these floating shelves to add a bit of display space in my living room and I’ve been really pleased with how they turned out. Great shelves for knickknacks, install is pretty straightforward.

Vailando Floating Shelves set of 3 shelves was a good solution for my son's room. My kids have dorm style bed setups, which means they do not have nightstands for their little knickknacks. Standard shelves I'd been looking at were too heavy, which would be an issue on the wall between there top two beds. I needed something sturdy, light weight, and without a bunch of flashy hardware.This three pack of shelves met all our requirements. It has a sleek, modern design with no excess frills. Installation was pretty straight forward. You do need a level to get it right. It comes with all hardware, which is hidden on the back and bottom. Strangely, it is visible on the ends of the shelf, which is not the most esthetically pleasing. However, it doesn't bother my kid, and as it's his room then what's fine with him is fine with me. Most importantly, the shelves fit all his stuff securely.I am pleased with these. They're real wood and they do the required job well, while looking good at the same time. I would recommend them.
