"All The Day I've Lived"?!? TERRIBLE Spelling Error Only Works For Someone Like Me
As a former teacher, reading this is physically painful to me: "Of all the day I've lived. The best ones have been with you."That is truly horrible, embarrassing English. But I got this intentionally, for a good reason. Only someone who is like me will understand why I would do such a thing.This was perfect for me as an unabashed grammar/spelling nut. I corrected it with a thin sharpie and gave it to my husband, knowing my corrections would make him laugh -- which it did! :)The crochet is lovely, 5-star work, but it's an affront to human communication for the little sign to even exist and be sold as is, without correction. The sign itself is barely 1 star. The only reason I don't say zero stars is because the printed card is sturdy and can be corrected with a sharpie. But why else would anyone hand over their money for something that embarrassingly bad?Between the 5-star crochet and 1-star sign, I'll rate this the average of 3 stars -- do NOT get this if you aren't happy with the card's issues and you don't want to correct it or replace it. I wouldn't recommend spending any money on this otherwise.Except for the nice crochet work, I don't think it's a good value overall as is, paired with that sign. At least for me it was intentional, and worked out great because my hubby knows that correcting words & sentences gives me a satisfying thrill.By the way, I do embarrass myself with errors from time to time, but that laugh is free; I don't make money on my own mistakes! :)
