Cute and kitschy kitchen ornament
Do these look real? Not to me. But I got them because they reminded me of the plastic grapes my mom put in the fruitbowl she had on our kitchen table back in the 70s, so big nostalgia factor for the win here. I have several little ceramic receptacles with ceramic fruit in them, and even though these are plastic, they go great with those and they look "finished" now. The flexible plastic stems make the bunches conform to the shape of whatever thing you put them on, just like a real bunch of grapes would. The pictures make these grapes look like they have some kind of textured surface, and I'm left scratching my head wondering what the heck that was, since it's not on the grapes I received (thank heavens). Mine came with some kind of oily-feeling lubricant, probably silicone, that I left alone but will probably wash off with soap at some point. They do look good enough to eat, so I definitely would keep them out of the reach of children (I remember as a kid really liking chomping down on the fake kitchen grapes, so just keep them out of reach of the kiddos, k?). I find the $10 for a multicolor set of three bunches a perfectly fair price for what you get. Please note: My review is part of Amazon's Vine Program, which provides products at a reduced cost in exchange for an honest review.
