This clock is excellent. It’s clearly visible during the day and the backlight (I use the dim setting) makes it clearly visible at night too.The face is directional so keep that in mind (set it straight upright if you set it on a table.It’s worth every penny.
Very nice. Backlight only provides enough light to see the time, rather than illuminating your whole room.
I ordered this Atomic Clock on 04/22/25. It arrived in about 2 days. When I read the operator manual it said to pull the tabs on the included AA batteries in the battery compartment before use. There were no tabs, the batteries were just reversed. So I put the batteries in the correct direction. The clock would not turn on. I tried a fresh set of batteries and again the clock would not turn on. So I returned the clock to Amazon and asked for a replacement.The replacement arrived within two days. I opened the box and the same thing happened. The included AA batteries were inside the battery compartment in the wrong direction. So I put the batteries in the correct direction and again the clock would not turn on. I tried a fresh set of batteries and this time the clock turned on. Other than the battery issue the clock works great once it syncs with the National Atomic Clock signal. If you don't want to wait for the clock to sync, you can set the clock manually. So now when my power goes out (I live in Florida - and summer outages due to thunderstorms, bad weather etc. happen often) I will still know what the correct time is. Also displayed on the clock are the month , date, day, inside temp and inside humidity. You can place the clock on your desk or hang it on your wall. Normally this would have been a 5 star review, but I deducted 1 star for the battery issue. I'm glad I ordered this Atomic Wall Clock and recommend it.
So far so good. It took a little bit to figure out that unless the sattelite icon was blinking you wouldnt get the atomic time. So I just had to set manually. It automatically senses in the dark so brightness switches off when we turn on the light. Its very clean looking and easy to read. We had another atomic clock for years that finally stopped working, this is a great replacement. I appreciate that they included batteries, just be sure to remove the plastic wrapping. We needed battery operated because a plug wouldnt work for the area we wanted it in our bathrooom. If you need a battery operated clock, get this one.
I was so disappointed when I found that unlike the picture on Amazon that shows the display bright and easy to read that isn’t the case at all during the day! There is no way to adjust the brightness to make it readable during the day either. I’m not sure why they make digital clocks that way these days? I bought it to hang in my kitchen to be able to see the time as well as the date, day and temperature. It’s the perfect size and does have all of those details on the screen, but the screen is so dark that you can’t read any of it without a flashlight ☹️. Too bad because it’s the perfect clock for seniors if you could adjust the brightness for the daytime??!!
I don’t think this is an atomic clock. It shuts off radio signal receiver after a couple minutes. I always set it up manually. You pay for what you get and somewhat in good quality. Buttons feels okay.Size is good enough for me to use it on my wall and easy to see time from 60 feet. Not the temp or humidity though.Looking angle also matters you lose visibility after more than about 30 degrees.
Works well without problem. We have it on a wall not far from a window and it seems to self-correct without problem (although we have not had it during a DST change yet). I particularly like that the lighting is adjustable so I can see it in the dark - like a dim night light - but it doesn't disturb late naps. Nice large numbers, and the thermometer agrees with our other one in the room.
