Wonderful little clock doesn't take up much space yet is easy to read from a distance. It is an Atomic model so once you get it set up it will set the time at midnight and your set to go.
As an easily readable wall clock that doesn't rely on a power cord, this does an excellent job. It's easy to set the time and the temperature and humidity readings seem accurate and it's clearly visible from a distance under decent lighting. This unit comes with all the batteries inside the compartment, but they need to removed and unwrapped. The wrap is tight and I needed a blade to start the peel on each one. It'll beep at you if you put in the smaller batteries first, so start with the big ones. I assume this beeping is part of a notification to let you know the batteries are low. Some other reviewers mentioned a loose battery compartment cover but the one on my unit fits well.So far, so good.As an alarm clock, this leaves a lot to be desired. My dogs hate the default doorbell chime, so I scrolled through the selections of alarm sounds and most of them seem to be variations of 16-bit video game tunes. There was a wolf howl that I settled on, not because I'm planning on using the alarm, but the default doorbell chime is just obnoxious and I wanted to change it to something that wasn't a doorbell. Now, there are two foldout flaps on the back of the unit that act as a stand for this clock that are okay of you just want a clock on a shelf, but they really don't seem at all adequate for something that's going to get a sleep-hazed slapdown on the snooze button every morning. If someone like me uses this as an alarm clock I have no doubt this clock is gonna break in short order. My advice? Skip the alarm entirely and leave it turned off. Use the mounting template in the box and h ang it up on your wall and use it as a clock. It looks nice and there's no sense breaking the thing because of a preconception that this must be on your nightstand making noise every morning. This one is probably going up on the wall in my laundry room, or maybe my bathroom. I haven't decided yet.
Great clock, has good backlighting
Cheaply made. Haven’t even had it two weeks and the seconds are useless. I guess the LCD is defective. But it does seem to keep the correct time.
Very accurate clock
