Its a type of limestone formed from calcium carbonate deposits near hot springs and caves where it actually forms ny Rapid mineral precipitation from the cooling of hot mineral-rich water. This stone has always been a favorite of mine - I love the natural tones and characteristics of limestones and travertine they feel very calming to me so I love incorporating more and more of it into my home where i can.
