I really like this white sage incense. It's very uplifting and relaxing. At first, I had a little trouble keeping it lit, but that was definitely on me; I just needed to hold the flame over it a little longer and give it a second. Once it was lit, it burned slowly and evenly, producing a strong, meditative aroma that was absolutely divine. The scent is so soothing, clean, and conducive to meditation. As it burned, I found that the scent continued to grow on me. The box you receive is quite small, but you get a lot of little incense sticks, and the smell makes the compact packaging more than worth it. The box is also super attractive and resembles a large matchbox, so I have it sitting out because it adds to my decor. I especially appreciate that it is made from USDA-certified organic sage from California. It's natural and has no hint of a chemical smell.Additionally, I respect that it's sustainably harvested and free from chemicals or additives. It delivers a clean, warm fragrance that supports mindfulness and energy cleansing. This incense is a five-star find in my book! I'll definitely be back for more!!
it smelled like sausage. which the sausage we eat has sage in it but this smell was not the nice 'green' plant smell i was hoping for. it was smokey food flavor , which actually my husband loved. very short sticks 4-5 inch but they do burn as long as a 10in stick. they do not have a wood end to stick anywhere, youll need a holder designed for a full top to bottom burn. recommended for husbands only
I really like the scent of these which I've found to be strong without being overpowering. Really helps me to focus when I take a break in an effort to mindful of myself. Good burn time and the price point is great considering you get 30 sticks. Very compact which equates to easy storage.
Japanese Incense - White Sage by TOMORIAbout 30 Organic Cleansing Incense Sticks for Meditation and RelaxationThe SmokeI just tried this an hour ago. I had to open the door a half hour ago, and I’m done with the smoky smell already! I hope it clears out of here soon. I would NEVER use this incense during meditation. And I will be buying myself some REAL Sage for smudging once in a while! The ScentIt smells OK. Not bad, not great. I did not detect any chemicals. It kind of smells like smudging with a Smudge Stick of bundled Sage leaves, but not quite the same and not as powerful, spiritually…I recommend searching for Smudge Kits. You can get a variety of bundled leaves of White Sage, Rosemary, Cedar, Juniper, 3 Flower Sages, and Palo Santo sticks, plus an Abalone Shell and Feather for a WAY better value than these. That is, they would last much longer and do many more rooms many more times than these will.Do These Clean Up A Room Good?Yes and no. I tried this Sage Incense by Tomori and then their Palo Santo. I felt the Palo Santo do more than the sage. Again, it smells OK, but does not feel like a powerful clean up.Recommendations – Do They Light Easily?NO. They do not. I was using a lighter that works like a flame thrower that we’ve been using to light the stove. It took a while to get this incense stick to burn, and then I carried it around to every corner of the room. When I put it into a little bowl, it went out right away.
Heads up! In the off chance that you've missed it to this point, I feel compelled to point out that these are half-length incense sticks. Nothing wrong with that, but it is liable to catch some people off-guard due to the odd angles and lack of size reference in some of the product photos here.Nothing wrong with that. One of my favorite incense recently was another that was sold as half-sticks. There is a time and place, and I think the size is fitting for these potent little sticks. Some of what they lack in length is made up for in thickness, and to that end I would say that I did have minor trouble finding a burner for them as my usual go-to for Japanese incense was a little tight.White sage is one of my favorites to work with when making my own incense cones and the fragrance here is true to my expectations — pungent, purifying, pleasing. Would recommend.
When you burn it, smells like onion fried chicken. Definitely not enjoying.
