The color was just as it looks online. They are perfect for allowing in a bit of light but still providing privacy. Since the window faces the windows of neighbors it is nice to have the privacy and still see the daylight come and go. I used them bedroom windows. they hang nicely and are pretty well made. So far so good. No complaints, oh and I even washed them prior to using and not much color fade at all (washed in cold water); ran a light iron and hung them up. These curtains really made the space feel cozy. I had some purple drapes in the room and they were awful looking. They're light weight and see through. You can see everything at night with lights on. They didnt work for me (too thin) but they are beautiful and they didn't have any smell or defect. They look nice in the afternoon when the sun hits them as it's going down. It gives a golden glow. They just didn't offer privacy like my main cotton/lenin (thicker) curtains.
