Beautiful and unique cross
I am not usually a "cross person." I am Christian and have been my whole life but crosses have always been tricky for me. A cross with Jesus on it...well Jesus isn't dead anymore so I don't really like having a permanent dead Jesus figure. I have a watercolor print of Jesus rescuing a lost sheep off a cliff, which has always been more meaningful to me than a cross. Because it's understandable and meaningful to me in a very real, tangible way.This cross struck me immediately. It was an immediate gut understanding for me. Oh! That's Jesus. Reaching down to save us, God is holding on to him. I couldn't stop coming back to it and looking at it. I showed it to one of my kids without any hints. "What do you think of this cross?" My child had a similar reaction.When it arrived, it was my husband and kids who opened it and they all wanted to set it up right away. I wasn't expecting that but again, it's just such a great picture of what we believe.The cross is beautiful and detailed. It is all done in carved relief and has all the same details as you see in the photo. My kids have all been running their fingers over it and it's very nicely finished and smooth.I'm so glad I got this cross and am surprised at the beautiful workmanship and high quality for the price, currently $29.99 for the 10" cross.
