I ordered this tension rod because I needed something to go on the interior of the window and didn’t want to put holes in the moulding with nails or screws. By design, this is for an extra wide window. You need something that’s going to be able to hold the weight of an abundance of fabric if you’re hanging curtains in a wide window. This rod is definitely that. I actually found it to be a little bit overkill. It was really thick so it will only work with curtains that have a wider rod pocket. It was also a little challenging to find the right spot in the window because the ends are so wide. I know that on my window, the interior surface of the window was uneven with multiple layers of different mouldings. But if it fits, it’s great.
