Very unique addition to my home office floor. I was looking for a rug or mat for my computer desk chair. I did not want the old fashioned computer chair mat. This floor rug works perfectly as a chair mat. But it most importantly looks great and blends with my home office furniture and carpet. It really makes the room more warm and fits the decor.
This rug looks great in my office under my desk and chair. I have hardwood floors and the constant movement of the wheels on my chair scratches them.I’m very pleased with this rug that will protect my floors. It had a weird odor when I first took it out of the packaging so I let it air for an hour and the smell quickly dissipated.This rug is not machine-washable. Care instructions are vacuuming and blotting spills immediately with a clean cloth.This rug is very soft and my cat loves to lie on it — which, of course, is important to consider if a cat lives with you.The weave is very nice and it has jute backing so if your floors scratch easily, you might want to consider a rug pad for underneath it.My only complaint is that the ends curl. I placed heavy books on it overnight and it was fine for a day but then it started curling again.(Made in Egypt)
I ordered a 3'x5' and a couple of 2'x3' rugs. They came at separate times but pleased with all 3. I chose the "Slate" color which I was concerned about as the picture seemed to be a brownish color which I was concerned might be the "Chocolate". But as others have said, the picture (for Slate anyway) is spot on and the colors are exactly what I wanted. Carpet texture is smooth. The 3'x5' came rolled up and flattened out very easily and quickly on its own. The 2'x3' were more work. They came folded up in a tight plastic sheet protector. I had to lay some wood and 20lb weights on them (carpets face down) for a few days to get the really sharp creases out of them. That did the trick.One quirk, when I had all 3 lay on the floor, the two 2'x3' looked different colors to each other... I turned them over and checked the numbers etc and they were identical. When I turned them back pile up, I realized they were not different, it was the way the pile lay. When I had them both the "same way up" they were identical.Very pleased with the purchase, color and texture of these rugs. BTW, the 3'x5' is actually for my desk and so I have an office chair rolling on it. I was concerned the pile might be too thick but actually it's perfect for what I wanted and still has the soft feel on my feet too. A+
I purchased the slate color and the rug is nothing like the picture . This rug is in the entry way looks dull and cheap. Disappointed!
I absolutely love this rug. I have a very rustic barndo type house and this rug goes perfectly. This is the slate color which I chose because the dog hair will not show as much. When this one wears out I'll definitely order this again and may even try the chocolate color which would go great as well. The only downside as shown in the photos is the ripples from being tightly secured in the packaging. It may take a long time for it to flatten out but if it never does oh well I still love it! I think in time especially with my 3 fur babies laying on it it may settle. This is the 3ft by 5ft. Update...it's been several days and the creases are starting to settle some I added a picture of the progress. I think in time it'll settle even more.
I tried using rug tape to stop this rug from being a major tripping hazard (ordered the 3x5 for in front of the kitchen door), but to no avail. Rug tape sticks to floor and not rug, leaving it a loose and slippery hazard. Tried a rug pad...just got wrinkled up and made it a worse tripping hazard. The rug itself is thin and scratchy, so wouldn't recommend for areas you may walk barefoot. All in all, a disappointing waste of money. I wasn't expecting miracles for $32, but I've bought nicer (that came in non skid!) for less at homegoods stores. Literally going to donate to Goodwill, because by the time I had left in under furniture long enough to flatten it out enough to attempt to walk on it (about a week), I had already thrown away the packaging, and when I went to submit for a free Amazon prime return, the instructions told me it needed to be packaged for shipping before bringing to a UPS store or else incur extra charges. By the time I pay for packaging I won't get much of a refund. Maybe I can use it in my tent when I go camping, but it sure isn't much use in my house.
I bought two different colors and love the softness of the rug. The quality and price are worth buying. The seller does a super job shipping. Comes wrapped in heavy plastic and in a shipping box. No damage to the rug and remains clean. Very happy with the product and seller product in all ways. Would buy this product again.
