We have gotten so many compliments, we live in Florida, regarding how we keep our plants looking so nice in the hot sun. The secret is they are fake and look great! Our neighbors even bought some after they saw them. They don’t fade which is great and you can fluff them to be as neat (or not neat) as you’d like.
Love these! I live in the Arizona desert so artificial plants are the way to go. They look great in pots and add a touch of color to the front yard. I do spray them with a clear coat to keep them looking like new.
As expected and they serve their purpose. I wanted a couple of small artificial plants to put in front of my pond. I’ve had other plants there but the maintenance too keep them from getting too tall (blocking the view) or growing over into the water, is a lot. These add a bit of color and will look even nicer when we install bark around them.
They suited my purpose for the summer. They did fade, but the nice thing is that the pink flowers didn’t show the fading as bad as the red ones. I threw them away in October. They aren’t usable for another season.
Do not be afraid to buy these. They are sturdy, the color has stayed vibrant and they look so nice!
These are beautiful. I bought 2 sets and put them in my front yard. Love them!
When I first opened the box I was horrified. The two shrubs were squished very compactly. I thought there was no way these shrubs could be “fluffed up.” I tried bending the individual branches but it was looking pretty hopeless. Then I had an idea. I got my hair blow dryer and put it on its hottest setting and started with the bottom branches on one side working my way up to the top branches. I held each branch and blew the hot air against the slicked down greenery to “fluffed” the greenery up. I was truly amazed at 1) How easily this was to do and 2) What a difference it made in the shrub!!!!! I held the shrub until the branches and greenery cooled down so that it wouldn’t have a flat side. The shrubs look just like the pictures now. And if no one is nosey enough to go inspect your plants they would never know the shrubs are faux. The ONLY thing negative I would say, and this is probably on me, I thought the shrubs would have been just a tiny bit bigger. I will fill in between the shrub and the potting soil with moss to add just a finishing touch. Of course these plants and pots will be on my back porch out of the direct elements. As I have been in bad health now for a couple of years I knew I needed to come up with a plan. I normally plant gorgeous huge ferns in these two pots but it’s a real job to get the dead ferns out and the new ones in. As I also lost my husband in January to cancer I don’t have anyone to help me with these kind of projects. So, until I am better, I decided to do faux plants in my planters this year. And I dare anyone to poo poo them!!!! Like I said previously, they were completely transformed when I got out the blow dryer. I had never thought of this idea before. I hope this will help someone else in “fluffing up” their faux shrubs.You really have to think of what you pay for live plants and figure that you will get a couple of years out of these faux shrubs you, are probably coming out financially ahead….plus you have to worry about keeping the live plants watered and fertilized. For me, in my current health situation, this is a win-win situation. I would order these shrubs again.
