Flexible blackout solution that works well for rooms with a dog door

What I bought this for:We live in the desert, and during the summer it gets exceptionally hot. We also have a dog door in our bedroom, which means we can’t keep the door closed. A very thin approach but not effective.

So not what I was expecting from the images. They are sheets that are attached to windows, not black out drapes or curtains. It partially works, but light gets in. And what you have to do to your windows is going to require repair.
