Perfect for blackout. Good for some heat.

These won't turn your space into an ice-box, but they'll reduce the heat by ~5 degrees. They still get hot and conduct some heat but reflects a decent portion back to the outside. Now for blackout, they're FANTASTIC! I really love the fact that you can simply undo the velcro to brighten up the space when needed. In comparison to what other reviewers are saying, I have had no issues with them falling due to the failure of the adhesive. They get constant sun all day and still stay standing.

Thermal comparison to tint.

This window is in the sun on a hot day. The inside of the curtain is 12 degrees cooler than the window side of the curtain. My windows with reflective tint are cooler. Both need to be cut to size, but this curtain is way easier to install. This is a good temporary solution to block heat and light, but installing window tint is much more effective and esthetic for long term.

Doesn’t Stick

The shade itself does the job! Keeps the sun out & darkness the room as needed.The biggest issue with the product is the adhesive strips that come with it. They simply do not stick.Every morning the shade has fallen down in at least 2 places. And we’re using 8 strips across the top & sides. It should be more than enough.Would have rated this higher if it wasn’t such an issue.

Helps keep heat out

Very light material but high quality. I ended up sewing a top hole so tension rod can go thru. They are better than $100 blackout curtains but I still prefer my outer blackout curtains since it matches my color scheme. But put on another window and helps a lot on those over 100 degree days.

adhesives aren’t very good

Product keeps light out very well but the adhesive's it comes with do not stick. I’ve cleaned the surface before application but the sheet continues to fall down. Have bought multiple other adhesives and they all eventually fall off. Just gonna get curtains atp.
