I was dubious but these worked well on a small area rug between a door and some stairs that my dog is always bounding down. She would slide the rug all over each trip. These have stopped that and have held in place without slipping for quite a while now. My wife has not noticed they are there which is good since she didn't want them.

This product does what their description says, it securely holds your rug in place. I was originally looking for a "fabric" type of pad that would go underneath my runner to keep it in place . I read about this item, ordered it and installed it. Easy to do with no problem.That said. After having installed this for about a month I decided I wanted to move the runner a little bit further down the hallway. I found that my rug could have been aboard that liner that capsized in the Mederterain some time back and not moved. The adhesive is incredibly strong and it took a little pulling to get it off my wood floor! I also noticed there is adhesive remaining on the floor that will need to be removed most likely, by Goo-Gone.My four stars are only because of the residue and not its holding power.
Love these! I used them on a runner in a high traffic area (dog, cat, and kids) by the front door. This product is the only thing I've used that works. It held up on my rug until I decided to replace the rug. It was easy to remove and didn't cause damage to my floor. I purchased another set to put on my new rug. Highly recommend!
The stickiness of these needs to be improved and need to make some that won't slide on carpeted floors. They do keep my rug ends from curling up, but do not keep the rug from moving on the carpet. I put two in the center of the long runner but one has come loose and definitely did not keep the rug flat in that spot.
Our dining table rug always gets a lot of foot traffic and always gets disrupted whenever we use the Roomba to vacuum so I needed a permanent solution. They work great on both hardwood and tile, keeping everything securely in place. I even tested them on my outdoor patio rug, and they held up beautifully.
