These curtains are not blackout curtains, and they’re not claiming to be—they’re described as thermal and insulated. They aren’t super thin; they do have a backing, but honestly, they don’t seem like they’ll provide the level of insulation I was hoping for. That said, they are absolutely stunning! If your style is elegant and cozy, these curtains are a perfect choice.For me, they didn’t quite work out because I was trying something new, and I’m not the best at designing, but I can’t get over how gorgeous the velvet is—every time I see it, I fall in love all over again. If that’s the vibe you’re going for, these are a definite must-have. I layered them over my old blackout curtains, so in the photos, that’s what you see, along with how much light filters through. Vintage floral curtains

These curtains are very pretty and really tie a room together. They came out of the packaging nicely and were easy to put up. They do an okay job of blocking light, but for the room we have them in that’s fine. If you want them in a bedroom I would recommend something behind them. They’re really long, which is nice. I didn’t realize they were velvet. I am concerned with them getting dusty over time, but they are machine washable so that is nice. They look great though and I’ve gotten lots of compliments on them!
