They were easy to put up they came with all the necessary hardware, they look beautiful! I love the selection of sizes. I’m definitely buying more to finish my plant shelf super happy! Buy them! You won’t be disappointed
We needed a solution for hanging a microwave without installing a cabinet above it (we didn't want a cabinet in that particular spot, and it would be hard to reach if we did install one). Enter this shelf. Installation was fairly straight-forward, even though we installed it in a part of our kitchen where the original plaster walls coexist with drywall that was used to close off a doorway long after the house was built.The bracket for hanging the shelf is substantial, and the shelf looks nice sitting atop the microwave.We haven't tried placing anything especially heavy on top of the shelf, so I can't speak to the strength of the visible floating shelf component. That said, I have briefly placed a gallon of paint on top of the shelf, and that didn't seem to give it any trouble.We haven't placed the second shelf yet, but I'm sure we'll find a home for it. Since we only need one microwave, I'll report back on how the second one does as a regular floating shelf. I'll also try to add some pix of the microwave shelf!
The shelves are great for the price and look fantastic. They are lightweight, and the brackets hold them securely in place. The only drawback I have found is that the instructions mentioned a level was included, but I found no such item. The anchors can seem flimsy, so I would recommend getting better ones than what is included, but the screws are excellent. When the shelf is installed on the bracket and secured with the screws, there is a slight movement; however, there are no issues if you leave it alone and don't push it too much.
This was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a wide floating shelf. All of the other ones were very narrow and wouldn’t hold anything bigger than jewelry or accessories. It was easy to install. Color is actuate. It feels sturdy and stable.
Misleading description. The mounting bracket is not designed to line up with wall studs and is extremely flimsy if installed with the provided drywall anchors. I hit about 4 studs and it is still Not ridged. It certainly will not support 99lbs as advertised. I was going to put my sheet music and music books on this shelf but fear it will all end up on the floor. The 2" thick shelf is mostly hollow and wrapped with an 1/8" imitation wood skin. You can apply finger pressure to the top and bottom of the shelf and the material will deflect inward do to hollow center. After putting about 10/15lbs of books on the shelf it starts to deflect in front creating an unsafe angle. I do not recommend this product to anyone looking to support anything over 20lbs and certainly not anything valuable. It looks nice if you don't put anything on it.
These shelves are ok… hanging hardware (anchors) are not good quality. Ended up having to go out and purchase Molly bolts to secure to wall since anchors either broke or didn’t secure well to wall. Once we got them up they are fine. Purchased for our daughter to display her cowgirl boots on. (The 12 by 12 size works perfectly)
