The best way to put it is that if you set it down on a shelf, that shelf will stay up.Just because it’s lightweight and small doesn’t mean it’s not durable. It’s not thick like a larger music box but it’s not thin. It’s the perfect level of thickness for the size it is. You won’t break it by dropping it.Obviously the standout and most important feature is the melody “You Are My Sunshine”. The melody plays with such clarity and has always invoked a nostalgic feeling in me. It acquires dust quite quickly and needs to be dusted frequently. Also, while the box itself is durable and won’t break easily l, it is still made of wood, and if it’s scratched by something it will be noticeable. It should be said that the wood is finished so it’s not easy to scratch but the potential is there. Also, the box isn’t the only thing that gets dusty, the little instrumental thing inside also attracts dust.At the end of the day, I think that this music box is still completely worth buying.

I bought this as a sentimental gift for my best friend, as she sang this song at her sister's funeral. The box is very cute, well-made, and the sound quality was really good, even though it was cold when I gave it to my friend. She shed a tear, she loves it so much. There are a lot of listings for items like this, and I had to do a lot of looking for one with decent reviews, but I'm glad I went with this one. The only thing that I'd like more from this item would be maybe some black paint over the background or in the engraving on the inside image, as it is a little hard to see as it comes, but that's a minor thing, and something that you can do yourself as a fun little project.

Lovely little inexpensive gift
I mailed this to my Mom for an occasion and she loved it. Before I sent it I opened and tested it and found it to be in working condition, well-decorated, and with a pleasant and clearly understandable melody. The wood is soft like balsa, but sturdy, and the melody mechanism works smoothly but the sound has a little bit of grit to it, not as crystal clear without blemish as I have heard from other more expensive music box instruments, but satisfying, sweet, and delightful nonetheless. Great as an informal gift, and if you are creative, it also looks fun to paint with your own designs!

Perfect Mother’s Day gift
