I ordered it too large and had to cut it to fit. Cut easily with a scissors and was a breeze to cut a straight line. It does hold the rug in place and Marty the cat won't be able to slide on the magic carpet ride anymore.I took a star away because of the smell. Why does it have to smell so bad?I will cut smaller pieces for the rugs in front of the litter boxes. If you have cats you know what I mean.

Great padding

This works great with my new rug! People were saying it smelled, you do have to let it air our for 24-48 hrs before placing on your floor. It does tell you that on the directions.

Didn't work. Rug still slipped.

I found it totally inadequate as a non-slip rug pad. Rug still slipped on bare floor, plus it bunched up under the rug, making it even easier to trip and fall! Works okay as a drawer or shelf liner, as well as a good grip to open hard-to-open items.
