This works great. I am using it to hold an old victorian rug to a hard wood floor. The rug use to slip all over the place with very little effort. Now the rug is planted and perfect.
Not super thick, which works out for what we wanted. Adds a good amount of sound reduction on creaky hardwood. So far has helped the rug stay in place great.When you first open it the chemical smell is insane. I left a window open for an hour or two while I set it up and it seemed to go away. Did give me a headache for a bit.

Kept the rug by the kitchen door in place. This pad works so well, I can Vacumn the rug in Boost with my Dyson and it still stays put.
I found it totally inadequate as a non-slip rug pad. Rug still slipped on bare floor, plus it bunched up under the rug, making it even easier to trip and fall! Works okay as a drawer or shelf liner, as well as a good grip to open hard-to-open items.
