Pay particular attention to the measurements.

This frame is put together with dovetail like corners. I don't see any glue or nails in the frame so it has a smooth tight fitting appearance. There is a pre-cut mat and a plexiglass front. Remember to take off the protective film from the front before use. There is a dowel rod that fits into holes in the back of the frame so you can position the picture vertically or horizontally. There are little protrusions on the sides of the backing that hold the whole assembly together so you don't have to deal with metal nails in the back of the photo assembly. You just pop out the assembly and then pop it back in.There is one glaring flaw. The exact measurements of the picture opening of my frame measures 7 12/26" x 11 4/16" without the mat. That means an 8 x 10 picture without the mat floats in the middle and you can all see the backing all around the edges. Also, with the mat the opening is 5 7/8" x 7 7/8" meaning that a 6 x 8 photo may or may not fit depending on the cut of the photo.Overall, it is a nice frame just be aware that you may need to make some adjustments to your photos for display.
