These are so cute. A little smaller than I expected, but just what I wanted for starting some new plants off of some of my older plants. I like the cork top for keeping the smaller starter plants upright. The glass isn't real thick so be careful not to drop.

These 6 glass jars (with “open” cork lids) are super convenient for propagating plants. I’ve only ever propagated houseplants, but seeing as how I used to have 42 house plants, you can trust me on this recommendation..There isn’t much to say about little glass jars with little lids with holes in them, but in my opinion they are good value for the price, since they’re decorative as well. (No more dollar store oddly shaped jars!) I usually propagate in a windowsill, but if that’s not possible, then I have them as close to a window as possible.The glass is not super thick or heavy. It’s average, I’d say. Not fragile feeling, but not as thick as a drinking glass. With water in them, I won’t be worried about bumping them and them getting easily knocked over. Cork dries out eventually, and gets crumbly, but maybe there is a way to preserve it! I knew they were cork when I ordered them, so it’s something I’ve been planning on looking into.These jars are cute just to have as vases. I think they’d make a great addition to the table centerpiece of a plant themed party. I also thought about propagating, then giving them out as party favors after a small dinner party. Or a “planting kit” with one of these jars, some soil, a pot, and instructions on transfer and care.Happy shopping, fellow plant lovers!
These bottles are great for window sill propagation or hydroponic growing of plants. Be cautious of the cork rings at the top though. Although they look good, and keep the plants up straight, if the plant gets too big it can be a problem removing them without damage.
This set of 6 glass containers for propagating plants is really lovely. I am thankful that the manufacturer packed these elegant jars securely to prevent any breakage. It was exciting to unpack each and every jar. I enjoyed holding each jar and admiring the simple elegance of the sleek design. They have a clean, modern look. The simplicity of the design is the beauty of this product.These gorgeous glass jars are also useful and functional. I love it that a designer improved a simple task and brought even more serene beauty to the art of rooting plants. Before, I would keep a collection of throw-away jars of various sizes for my plant cuttings. It was a bit of mishmash. It definitely wasn’t elegant-looking with the hodgepodge jumble of all the various jars with grooved tops.These beautiful jars provide symmetry, clean lines, and harmony to this process. Their fengshui appeal brings plant rooting to a new level of beauty.These jars are also designed to function optimally. The cork tops keeps the plant cuttings together and centered. The cork gently supports the plants without bruising the stems, so that the leaves do not float in the water, but are held above the water level. This way the water will stay fresher, and the leaf part will remain in tact and not rot by being submerged in the water.This is such a clever design idea for a common task. I like when a product just lifts-up a simple task to another level of beauty. These jars are beautiful and a very useful product, for anyone who loves plants and growing things. I love getting cuttings from others and sharing cuttings from my plants. I enjoy having lots of plants everywhere. I like bringing nature inside for an outdoor-inside look. I love it that now my windowsills will no longer look cluttered when I am rooting plants. The lovely elegance of these jars will inspire me to root even more plants.I really love this elegant and useful product. The cost is very reasonable. Breaking-down the cost, each jar cost about $2.83. I think that’s an excellent price for these high-quality and elegant jars. I highly recommend this gorgeous product to all plant-lovers.
There are several methods I use to root plants such as sand damp sand, Coconut (Coco) Core, Peat Moss or in a glass container. But for a decorative look in the house I chose these fine looking top corked glass propagation set. I am using these to try and propagate my Yew cuttings to replace several old small leafed Holly bushes.These glasses are 3.9 inches high by 2.55 inches diameter. The glass is average thickness similar to a drinking glass. That size glass minus the cork taking up some internal space in the glass can hold approximately 9 ounces or 266ml of water. The glass itself looks equivalent to white glass. White glass (low-iron/ultra-clear) is more expensive than green-edge (standard clear) glass. The glass includes a a decorative cork with approximately a 1 inch hole in the middle of it.. The hole makes it a great feature to keep the plant pointing straight up and not flopping on its side and taking up room for the other propagation stations. You even have enough room in the hole of the cork to use a narrow spotted container to water the plant.For a decorative indoor house propogation setup this is the way to go.
