True Heritage Behind This Product and Then Some
I ordered the kit and that same night, was intending to contact another seller about a problem with one of two diffusers that came as a set. Well, I accidentally wrote this seller. He was SO nice in an email response telling me that he believed I had contacted the incorrect seller (and he was right). But, I could just tell by the tone of the writing the reassurance he gave for when I do receive my smudge kit, that if I'm not totally happy, to contact him. I can tell he takes great pride in his product and customer satisfaction.I got the smudge kit. I haven't used it yet because his directions say to open the windows before, during, and I think after smudging. It's been real cold here, so I haven't done it yet. Everything in the kit is beautiful. I smelled the Palo Santo sticks of wood, and I love the smell. I'll probably load up on some of those if they burn well.Another issue, the negative reviews. I was looking because I wanted to make sure that I properly removed my one about the diffusers. I didn't see it in the 4 stars, so I went to the 3 stars. My point is, I usually only look at 1 and 2 star reviews, especially if there are quite a few. The thing is, I see complaints about the size of the turkey feather or something was missing. I hope ya'll called him before you knocked his star rating down. Simply because, we all make mistakes, he's probably packaging 1,000's of these. I can tell he'll make good on any mistake. I gave my long, turkey feather that I found in the yard to my daughter, who got me interested in smudging. Yes, it would be nice if the feather was longer. So, look up turkey feathers. This guy might sell longer ones. Or, use a piece of notebook paper or get a small fan with a Native American design (I actually just wrote that on my Amazon pad of things to hunt for).Last point, I love the idea that the product is coming from a family that has strong Native American background and believe in the truth of the healing. I taught Native American History for 19 years. There is proof that their presence was here 18,000 years ago. They must have been doing something right to live off the land the way they did and be able to heal. It shames me what we whites did to them, taking their land. They let us on it because they don't believe that they "owned" it. Land was for living on and with. The Jamestown Colony would have died if the Native Americans had not helped them survive because they arrived in the winter. So, I don't think I've ever put my personal beliefs into a review, but I have this time. Please, before you knock the seller, think of what we did to them and how they just don't even seem to hold hostility. Living where I do, I have met many Native Americans of the Monacan Tribe, including Chief Branam. Also, people saying the shell or the feather was too small. I'd have to go back and look, but he probably has the measurements written down in the details. I think I got a beautiful shell, everything exactly as described, and am very excited to use it.
