Strong scent
This candle has a pretty strong scent out of the box. Coming off a cold and still somewhat congested, but I could smell the strong citrus and floral notes. I could not really smell the lavender as this candle was described as having a lavender mix scent. There were some sweet notes, but the overall combined scent reminded me of Dawn soap? And made me a little nauseous.I will burn this later when I'm less congested to see if I can smell the top, mid, & base notes: lavender / lemon / mint / violet; jasmine / lily of the valley / rose; & coumarin / musk / sage / sandalwood, respectively. Although just from the description, there's a lot going on in this mix.Other than the smell, the candle jar and candle looked well made. Lid looks ok, but there were some dings in the unfinished wood. Would definitely repackage if it's a gift though, as the box is flimsy (mine came slightly crushed at corner) and has the item label stuck to the back (not even the bottom).
