    This is a cute little turtle figurine/statue. It is well made and the finish is smooth. It is a delightful figure to put on a shelf or table. I gave this to a turtle loving friend and it has graced her turtle sanctuary for about a month now. The live turtles (they might be tortoises I’m not sure) haven’t really noticed it much any more than another shiny rock.

    I didn't get this turtle to hold down any papers. Although, I have no doubt that it could hold down a stack of papers easily. It's heavy, and solid. I got it for my son just because he loves turtles, and I thought he would really like how shiny this one is. It does have a felt like bottom so it won't slide off of papers, or around on a desk or shelf. As a paper weight it would work very well. But this turtle also works as a decoration in the home of a family that really likes turtles. Lol.
