I used them for stacking my portable hard drives...Works great! I used the adhesive strips (inside a wood cabinet), and they really stick! Plan ahead where want to place them, because that's where they will stay. The strips are not forgiving, they stick right away and you can't reajust them. These ledges look great and they will easily hold 5+ lbs. The screw set has caps to hide the screw heads for a professional look.
Well constructed yet light. Easy to install. Great buy for the money and sturdy as described.I purchased these to move Klipsch satellite speakers off the cabinet. Installation was very easy using the supplied drywall anchors and screws. The plastic caps fit over top of the screw ends then you give a little press until feeling a slight 'pop'. The caps hold onto the screw using friction and are removable. Due to the weight of the speakers plus not wanting to damage the wall later, I didn't use the adhesive tape. If I was going to use the tape I would have switched to using 3M removable strips commonly used for photos and other things haven't the pull-steaight-down tabs for clean removal.The holes for power cords and connecting wires are large enough but always test fit before buying. Cut a piece of cardboard or use an envelope to get an idea of how the shelf fits to your needs. There is no lip around the edges, they are attractively simple in both appearance and function.
