Gorgeous idea, but $38 feels a bit steep
I got this because the crystal + rotating music box combo looked super cute, and the 3D engraving really is the star—it looks crisp and “wow” in person, especially when the lights are on. I am so in love with this rotating 3D milky way music box
I am so in love with this 3D crystal square rotating music box. It is so lovely when it lights up with all of its multiple colors rotating while the song "you are my sunshine plays. Inside is a picture of the milky way that is really detailed well and it looks amazing as it turns going through one color after another. This would make a great gift for that someone that is into galaxy type items. It is a pretty heavy music box it is not some light weight cheap toy. I just love it when is playing and spinning it is just so beautiful.

This one has me a bit perplexed. I'd give it 3.5 stars if that was an option. I really wanted to like it. And I still like the idea of it. The glass itself is beautiful: clear, heavy, and nicely etched… but only on half of the moon.I’ll just break it down into pros and cons — it’s easier that way.Pros:- The glass is clear, solid, and has a nice weight to it- The wind-up music box mechanism seems to work fine (lights are battery-powered)Neutral:- Doesn’t play “You Are My Sunshine” as described. It plays a wonky version of 'Can't Help Falling in Love' (nod to the King). Just a note if you're looking for a specific song.Cons:- Only half the orb is etched; the other side is just plain. So, you get half a moon.- The stand is wobbly. It’s a disc screwed onto a single, thin rod that supports the whole shebang. And ours doesn’t attach securely, so it’s very prone to tipping. You can see where that's going with a heavy, round object made of glass.- The lights are automatic, with no way to control them (other than leave them off)- The flashing lights and color changes feel more like a bad disco than a relaxing display. We have some photosensitive people in the house and had to turn it off.It came so close and just kinda kept missing the mark. I got this through Amazon Vine, but if I’d paid the $38 retail price, I’d be disappointed on a few levels and probably returning it.
